People are talking but what are they saying?

Shani is a natural organizer. She has a gift for harnessing the skills and talents of her volunteers to further their development as leaders. She has mastered the Agitate-Educate-Organize flow and her passion for her work is infectious. She brings a racial justice lens to everything she does and is an experienced DEI educator. Her transformational organizing approach builds trust with volunteers and creates a safe space to practice these skills. She is an asset to any team seeking to affect positive long-term social change.

-Tiffany Chapman, Regional Organizer, Family Forward

It was wonderful to be in a space where I could sit in discomfort with other people, learn, and feel confident to start hard conversations. Love. It.

-KJ Moore, Board member/Music Composer/Grant Writer with JANE Theater Company

As a community member on the Board of County Commissioners' Audit Committee, Shani has demonstrated a commitment to transparent budgeting and auditing processes. We are developing a request for proposals for the county's external financial auditor, and Shani has provided valuable feedback for that process. She has provided guidance to craft an RFP that gets potential bidders thinking about what they have done - and can do - to create a more inclusive organization and industry. She has also raised important questions to help ensure the RFP process is accessible.
